Overview

Fall Semester 2024 Internship

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Assist Helpdesk staff with diagnosing and resolving computer problems and requests from users in a timely manner. Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, tablets and other duties as assigned.

Basic Duties
    Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email as appropriate
  • Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Perform user administration duties
Qualifications
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar program.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage a constantly changing workload
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills, including solid presentation skills
  • Military & veterans encouraged to apply

  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others
  • Positive and friendly attitude

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position will primarily work in an office environment, there will be times when you are required to go out into the service and warehouse area to work on computers. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs. and wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields). The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
