  • This position is a Hybrid role that will require some travel to Jacksonville, FL
  • Summer 2024 for12 weeks

What can an Enterprise Strategy and Corporate Development Internat GuideWell expect?

  • Interns will have an opportunity to explore supporting a diverse environment of work across GuideWell's Enterprise Strategy, Competitive & Market Insights, and Corporate Development departments
  • Support organization and department business goals
  • Provide research, development, and analysis support to meet various Florida Blue departments' business needs, products, and processes
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills working with cross-functional groups of people
  • Demonstrated ability to work with abstract or complex concepts, remain flexible as tasks change quickly, and complete assignments on time
  • Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and broaden technical skills including our approach to research and various techniques to remain abreast of the health care ecosystem
  • Participate in team meetings, collaborate with staff on data and information
  • Capability to work in a remote environment

Job-specific Criteria:

Required Skills:

  • Currently enrolled pursing a master' degree with a concentration in finance, management or related field
  • Ability to travel to Jacksonville Corporate Campus, when needed
  • Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better at the time of application, throughout the application process, and for the duration of the internship program
  • Basic PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Coursework that demonstrates analytical abilities and interest, as well as, critical thinking
  • Good time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration / relationship building and detail-oriented skills

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Previous project experience or health care related work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Cumulative 3.25 or better GPA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with others
  • Time management

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Hourly Pay Range: $21 - $34

Typical Hourly Pay Range: $21 - $26

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
